As you all know by now, I read a ridiculous amount of books. I am a fast reader, and can easily read 3 x 300 page books a day (if I don't have anything to do during the day). So given this, I've read over 400 books this year (i know, tis a silly amount).
Out of these 400+ books, I've only had a handful of books I can say that I truly LOVED. Unsurprisingly, they're all from the Fantasy Romance genre. Mainly because I adore being swept away into another land that is as far from reality as possible.
One of my favourite things to do is stumbling across a book that isn't well known, and turns out to be a real banger. I LOVE it when that happens.
Something you need to know about me though, is that I'm not overly critical about the plot of a book. If there's plot holes, I usually don't notice them. If the book is similar to 100 other books I've read, I'll look over it easily - because honestly I do love a good orphan girl who's trained to be an assassin and who has magical abilities. Give me all the books with that plot and I'll be a happy girl.
In other words, I'm easy to please.
So the books I'm about to recommend, of course, might not be your cup of tea. Or perhaps you've read them and didn't like them - that's okay! We all have different likes based on our own personality ... life would be so boring if we were all the same right?!
Anyway without further ado, here's the books I've loved so far this year, they're shown in no particular order:
